Neil Woodyer, CEO and Director, has extensive history in the mining sector creating growth strategies, implementing financing plans and leading management teams. In 1988, Mr. Woodyer was a founder of Endeavour Financial, a successful mining merchant banking and advisory business. In 2009, Mr. Woodyer, then Endeavour’s CEO, and Mr. Giustra devised Endeavour’s gold growth strategy and in 2010, Mr. Woodyer led the transition of a financial company (Endeavour Financial) into a mine operations and development company (Endeavour Mining). Endeavour Mining successfully grew into one of the largest gold producers in West Africa through a series of acquisitions, successful expansion and optimization projects, and new mine construction. Mr. Woodyer left Endeavour Mining in June 2016.
Doug Bowlby has experience building corporate growth strategies and implementing a wide range of corporate finance initiatives, including M&A transactions and debt and equity capital markets financings. He joined Leagold in September 2016, and is responsible for the development and analysis of acquisitions and contributing to the growth of the company. Previously, Mr. Bowlby was the Executive Vice President – Corporate Development of Endeavour Mining from 2009 to August 2016, during which time Endeavour Mining evolved into a significant West African gold producer through a series of corporate acquisitions and successful mine construction. Prior to this role, Mr. Bowlby was Managing Director, Research and Analysis at Endeavour Financial, a boutique investment and merchant banking company focused exclusively on the junior to mid-tier global mining industry. Mr. Bowlby is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.
Doug Reddy has more than 30 years of experience in project evaluations, exploration, mine geology, resource development and consulting in base and precious metals. He was with Endeavour Mining for 10 years in executive and senior management roles focused on technical services, business development and investor relations. Mr. Reddy was based in Peru as manager of the Lima office of Amec Americas Limited and also was Technical Director - Geology and Geostatistics based in Vancouver. Mr. Reddy is a registered professional geoscientist (P.Geo. APEGBC) and a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Richard Thomas is a mining engineer with 27 years of experience in both the production and technical disciplines. He has worked in diverse areas of the mining world from Central Asia, South East Asia, Southern and West Africa. Mr. Thomas was the VP Operations and EVP Technical Services for Endeavour Mining, where he was part of the team that established a mid-tier mining company in West Africa. Prior to that he held the role of VP Mining at Anglogold Ashanti for the Continental Africa Region. Mr. Thomas has worked as a mining consultant in a Johannesburg based company and held a directorship for four years in the same company.
Peter Burger joined Leagold in October 2017 following more than 25 years of experience in mining operations with Anglogold Ashanti, Eastplats, Aquarius Platinum and African Barrick. Most recently, he was the General Manager for the Tabakoto mine with Endeavour Mining. Mr. Burger holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Johannesburg.
Corné Lourens is a metallurgical engineer with 28 years of experience in Africa with Anglo American, Anglogold Ashanti and Endeavour Mining. Prior to joining Leagold he was the General Manager for Endeavour Mining at Nzema and Agbaou mines, and he managed the ramp up of operations into the wet commissioning of the Houndé processing facility as General Manager. He also worked in Mali and Tanzania on four mines in metallurgical and mining operational roles. In addition to his operational experience Mr. Lourens was the client representative in the design, construction and successful commissioning of the Burnstone gold plant for Great Basin Gold. Mr. Lourens qualified as a metallurgical engineer at the Vaal Institute of Technology.
Graham Parsons is a mining engineer with lengthy senior operations and project experience, especially in Latin America where he has run mines and projects in various countries, for both base and precious metals. More recently he oversaw the operation of the El Mochito mine in Honduras during its sale by Nyrstar to Ascendant Resources. Mr. Parsons was the General Manager of the Santa Elena mine in Sonora, Mexico during its successful transition from open pit with heap leach to an underground mine with dynamic leach. In addition to his operations experience, Mr. Parsons has managed feasibility studies and environmental permitting.
Harpreet Dhaliwal is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA) with over nine years of experience in the resource sector. She has served as Chief Financial Officer of several junior natural resource companies and previously worked for international operating resource companies including Endeavour Mining and Uranium One Inc. Ms. Dhaliwal is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where she received a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics).
Ashley Baker is called to the British Columbia Bar. She previously practiced law at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in their Securities practice group where she gained extensive experience representing publicly listed mining companies with their mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and governance needs. Ashley earned her LLB at the University of Alberta and also holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Master of Science from UBC.
Kelly Boychuk is a geotechnical engineer with over 25 years of experience in project exploration, development, permitting, engineering, construction and operation phases of precious and base metal projects in North and South America. He has a diverse knowledge base as a design engineer, heavy civil contractor and mine project developer. Mr. Boychuk was based in Chile as manager of engineering for Knight Piésold Consulting and in Vancouver as manager of project development with Ledcor Contractors’ mining group. He is a registered professional engineer (P. Eng APEGBC and P.E. Arizona State).
Jeff Leung is a Chartered Financial Analyst with extensive experience in economic analysis and valuations of gold mining assets. Previously as VP – Corporate Development with Endeavour Mining, Mr. Leung was part of the team evaluating potential acquisitions of producing mines and development-stage projects.
Bernadette D'Silva has an extensive background in corporate finance spanning more than 20 years. For the past 12 years, through her role as Vice-President, Corporate Finance with Fiore Management and Advisory Corp., Ms. D'Silva has been advising and assisting Canadian public companies with their continuous disclosure obligations, regulatory compliance requirements, and corporate governance practices. Ms. D'Silva worked on the successful launch of Urasia Energy Ltd. (acquired by Uranium One), Silver Wheaton and Pacific Rubiales and worked with Endeavour Mining through its various acquisitions while it transitioned from an investment banking company to a mining company in 2010.
Meghan Brown is an investor relations professional with 25 years of experience in communications and investor relations in the resource sector. Meghan started her career with Suncor Energy and has worked for TransCanada, Placer Dome, and Endeavour Silver. Ms. Brown holds a BA from UBC and an MBA from Queen's University. She is Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, a Director of the Canadian Cancer Society BC/Yukon division, and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
